About him
I am a decent, kind and honest chap.
I have been vegetarian all of my adult life, and I am trying hard to be vegan for the animals (it is just a shame that vegan cheese is so yucky). I'd like to think that I am a good cook, certainly I have had no complaints from my frequent dinner party guests.
I care a lot about nature and the environment. I enjoy getting outdoors for hikes in the hills (I used to live in Scotland and so I don't know how I've ended up in the Fens) and nature watching (or listening when it comes to bats). I love gardening and have had an allotment in the past. I also love astronomy and the sea.
I am a scientist (PhD-qualified chemist), and I work from home in consultancy for a not for profit in a role relating to food safety and the environment.
I play the violin in my spare time in an orchestra and thus enjoy classical music and cultural activities generally, some pop/rock music too and most definitely folk music. I can have my crafty moments with DIY and woodworking.
